Barbara Burlingame has been creating colorful, whimsical art, and selling her work in over 37 galleries in the United States and internationally since the early eighties. Receiving both her B.A. and M.A. degrees from Purdue University, Barbara focuses on contemporary painting and fun sculptures incorporating paint, handmade papers and found objects to create mixed media works of art that engage the viewer. Corporations and hospitals have made the largest acquisitions of Barbara’s work with Humana Hospitals purchasing over 200 pieces. Barbara’s favorite “sighting” of her art was at a family reunion at Disneyworld when her own children recognized that the painting in the lobby was their mother’s.
